Aurora Spaceship; no textures

I can not get any textures for this model, except for the base. What am doing wrong?

Do you mean https://www.daz3d.com/the-aurora ? Are you trying to render, or just going by the Viewport preview? Are you using Iray or 3Delight? Do you get any error messages? How did you install?

Are there supposed to be any additional textures? The product listing doesn't describe any.

Is it one of those with a separate material preset for each sub-assembly? You would have to select each piece one at a time and apply its corresponding material preset.

  • I installed with Daz Connect. I am talking about the Viewport. I tried some of the smaller ptops and I get textures. When  I load the full I get black in the viewport.

I think its Iray because I rendered with I ray and got textures.

  • I tried all 4 complete loads and one of them the Aurora Closed shows textures in the viewport. The all render however. When I hover over the black part the parts undeneath show individually in a yellow color. I will use the Aurora Closed since its the one that is textured shaded in the viewport.

Some Iray features do not show in the viewport under any mode other than NVIDIA Iray. The yellow colour when passing the mouse over a part is just highlighting that part or surface, depending on which tool you have active, and is not related to textures or rendering.

  • I am going to learn about the surfaces tab. Yes it has alot of parts and sub-parts, but I enjoy the process of learning and mastereing the Art of 3D. I spent many years learning Poser and I just recently started Daz Studio. I am very impressed with Daz Studio I would like to know if there is any info about the posting toolbar? I would like to be able to utilize it to the fullest, like for instance, does it have a spelling checker?

You mean the editor controls here when you leave a comment? I'm sure there is some info about it (try the New Users forum), but it is a basic text / html editor, nothing you probably haven't seen before. And, yes, there is a spell checker, the button labeled ABC with a checkmark. Enjoy your journey!

  • Thanks to everyone who took the time to say something.angry
