Timeline Play Range End Frame Workaround Version 4.12

Before version 4.12, if you typed a new value into the Timeline Play Range End Frame box, the program simply took your keystrokes as typed (as one would expect).

However, with version 4.12  (I am on 4.12.0.86), you have to use workarounds to change the value once you have set one.

For example, suppose you have 999 total frames, and have set the Timeline Play Range Start Frame to 100 and the Play Range End Frame to 150.

Now, suppose you want instead to change the Play Range End Frame to 200.  You press the "2" key in that box, and the Play Range End Frame value changes to 100 (the Play Range Start Frame number), not 2  (Even if you first drag your mouse over "150" to highlight the entire number and then press "2", it still changes to "100".)  The workaround here is to now press <backspace> to erase the "1" in "100" and then press "2".  Note also that if you keep typing digits into the Play Range End Frame box, it eventually changes to the total number of frames.(e.g. try typing "235" as the Play End Range, when you press "5" it fills in "999").

The second workaround is:

1. Type the "2" in the Play Range End Frame box. It changes to "100".

2. Tab off or click off the Play Range End Frame box, e.g. to the Play Range Start Frame Box, or the Current box.

3. Tab or click back to the Play Range End Frame box.

4. Now, you can press "2" again followed by the other digits (e.g. "00" or "35") and you get what you typed in.

I share these workarounds for those other users experiencing this problem.  If anyone has a better workaround, please let me know.

These behaviors are counterintuitive and take extra keystrokes compared to version 4.11.  I reported this to Daz on 10/4/19, and they can reproduce the behavior, but have no prediction as to when this will be remedied.  I hope it is remedied in the next version.
