Need help with free content,dosent show up

Hello all, no matter what site i download from be it freecg or renderosity i cant seem to see the items in daz 3d.

I downloaded a bunch of new hair for genesis 8 female, and the only hair i have is the toulouse hair. I copied the files to the daz folder in documents daz,in the public documents daz, also in program files daz. Im new to this obviously but cmon, it cant be this difficult can it? Also why so many daz folders?Why not a single one and just throw each download in there?IT would be tremendously user friendly. The reason i m asking is because i ve red numerous threads here and multiple tutorials in yt so obviously i m doing something wrong. Didnt change any folder location,program installed to wherever it was set to. Thanks in advance

    Check the folders in the zip - you want the /data/, /Runtime/, and other folders at the same level (e.g. /People/) to go in your content directry (e.g. /Documents/Daz 3D/Studio/My Library/). Often the zips have an extra folder that gets in the way. Also, unless the product has metadata and you import it, you will need to find the files in the Content Library pane under Daz Studio Formats, then the content directory (e.g. My Library), then the chain of folders within that - or for Poser content it will be Poser Formats, then the content directory, then the folders that are in the zip within /Runtime/Libraries/.

    Thanks richard got the hang of it. I have two more questions,are there any plans to simplify the folder structure from the devs? Also is there any way to navigate a bit easier in said fodlers because its a bit nightmarish trying to find some hair and clothes i downloaded as freebies. Again thanks for the help
