Zero pose taking too long

AnkiAnki Posts: 32

I'm using DAZ 4.12 with a gen 8 female. I use a preset pose. If I wish to change it back I have two options :

1 Undo : take 30 seconds to 1 minute

2 Edit > Figure > Zero > Zero figure pose : takes 15 to 30 minutes !

Usually I use a pose and then I have to change it manually, fine tune it, so no more first option.

Why does it take so much longer to basically do the same thing ?

Go through your pose sets, one of those is bound to have a zero figure pose in there. Right click that, and "create custom action". It will now end up in the scripts menu(to the left of help), fastest way I found to zero pose anyways. As to why zero figure pose from menu takes so much longer, have no idea.

Thanks for your help, I'll try that as soon as I'm done rendering.

  • CONTROL + Z will always be faster as it returns the figure to a state that is stored in the history of your session, like every other software. Zero figure pose runs a script (correct me if I am wrong) that undoes all the current applied transformations, rotations and translations. That will always take longer based on how many morphs you have installed in your content library. That's what I surmise, so if in your case you do have many morphs installed then CNTRL Z is your friend eventhough it can be inconvenient in some cases.
