Changing File locations and still keeping custom categories
Hi,
I want to move my daz files to another drive since I accidentally installed the program to my ssd dedicated to win10.
I already got some extra content and spend time to create categrories. I hope it's possible to move the files while keeping my customized library.
I already copied the following paths to a Folder called D:\DAZ-Files:
- Content Base Path
- Content Database Base
- Manifest Archive
- Package Archive
Then I changed the corresponding paths under "advanced settings" in the install manager. But I'm not sure if that's how it works?
Daz is somehow still using the files from the old directory under c:\ I can see that when I hover the mouse over an object in my library.
So my question is, how can I move the files correctly and can I keep my custom library?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my english,... I'm still learning :)

The database uses relative paths - the locatiosn within the content directory, regardless of where the content directory is - so your categories should be fine.
Have you also updated the paths in Daz Studio? It doesn't directly read the Install Manager settings - though there is a script that will do that (download using the link above the script, then drag the .dsa file into the DS Viewport) http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/samples/file_io/install_manager_config_import/start
Thank you, Richard!
I didn't know that I also have to change the paths in DAZ, too. Now everything works fine :)
