Body Parts Stretching after Rigging Bones in Poser 11

Hi, thanks for your time. I have a prop that I've rigged with bones in the Poser 11 Setup room. Since it's a robot, I don't want the rotation of one body part to affect the parent--I think I'm describing that correctly. Here is my figure, zeroed:
Here is Optimus when I rotate his right arm on the z-axis:
Obviously this is not how I want him to look. Can anybody give me some guidance on this?

I don't use Poser 11, but you need to adjust your weight maps so the arm bones only affect the arm, not the torso. There should be a tool for that to "paint out" the weights on the body.
Depending on how the figure was set up it may be enough to select the bones and turn off the Bend parameter (there should be a boolean, on/off, as well as the Bend rotation dial).
