So for those who have seen my gallery I have a little album entitled Eidolons where I make my own versions of Final Fantasy summons. For my next one I want to do a humanoid version of leviathan. I wanted to his appearnace to be something like http://www.daz3d.com/triton-mertails where there are patches of scales rather than his whole body being scaley. I figured I could get a body suit and use opacity maps for where I want everything. However I tried to use the supersuit but it didn't auto fit well to the g2m shape I want to use. if anyone knows of another suit or another way in general i could do this i would greatly appreciate it. I would also like to create my own scale texture wether it be from scratch or a resource if anyone knows anything about that as well.

Oh...I didn't even think about a geoshell. That could probably work. I will give that a try when I get home. I guess the next step would be to figure out how to setup textures for a geoshell.

I agree to use a Geometry Shell, I have made several swimsuits and bikini's using this method. Use a human texture on the character and scales on the shell, then make your own trans maps and apply them with the layer editor to the shell as a mask. Will require some trial and error to get the trans map as you want it, but not too difficult.

Thank you very much for the advice. Now the last thing I need to figure out is how I want to go about doing the scale texture.
