Deselecting Polys In Polygon Group Editor

RCDescheneRCDeschene Posts: 2,800

Something I always get frustrated with every time I try to use the Polygon Group Editor is the seemingly inability to deselect individual polys. I'm always accidentally Lassoing and/or Dragging polys I don't want and I'm always having to do my process over and over again. The tutorial video in the Documentation Center doesn't really mention anything of the sort aside from shrinking a Lasso selection using Ctrl++.

So, how does one deselect a poly individually?

In Windows it is ALT key and Left Mouse to Deselect a poly.
You can CTRL and Left Mouse to ADD to as well.

I think the default is alt (Mac-opt)-click on the polygon, but you can check the shortcuts at the bottom of Window>Workspace>Customise (or press F2).

    Okay. Thanks. :)

Now I have another question: how do you create a prop mesh from the selected polys? Which one of the right-click options generates it?

Right-click in the viewport with the Polygon Group Editor active, Polygon Visibility>Hide Un-Selected. Then right-click again, Polygon Editing>Delete Hidden Faces. Then export as OBJ and import to get a static prop, if need be.
