I have a character loaded the cameras aren't moving her where I want her . . . new to DAZ Studio; the camera that looks like a magnifying glass is not working; the camera that looks like a mover tool was only moving fraction at a time so I finally used posing to raise the character . . .
when I opened the camera pane, it shows no cameras at all and tell me to add one but I haven't had to add one before and the tools worked fine. I am looking for a screen to move them by typing i a number but can't find it and 'help' is no help.
Where is the pane for the default cameras . . . there surely must be one?

Remember that those controls are not moving the figure, they are moving the camera/view. It's a little tricky to figure out what was going on, though, from the description.
The camera pane is for actual (or virtual) cameras, those that can be selected in the Scene pane. Without a camera you will be looking through one of the views - probably the Perspective View, though if it was switched to one of the orthogonal views (Left/Right/Top/Bottom/Front/Back) that might explain your issue with the controls. You can see which camera/view is being used by looking at the longer button in the top-right corner of the Viewport, above the controls you are using to manipulate the view
is front view; will check out the other
OK, you were right, of course . . . and she is now standing on her side . . . how do I zero the perspective view?
OK, you were right and she is now unside down . . . how do I zero the perspective view??? Also having ptobelms cause I think I must have added a second case because somehoe I ended up with a draft and thought I had not gotten it posted.
