2 questions- Forum archive and blacksmith 3d!

First of all, i cannot access the Daz forum archives. For a while now.

I'm trying hard to reach http://forumarchive.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?p=2645476, but it's just giving me a repeat error.

Second, I'm trying to register blacksmith 3d (the older version that was first sold here). It's asking for Reg-B3D-Paint.dat and I have no idea where to get that. It might be from a personal site.... can't find the info though. Help?

    The old forum archives has been down for some time.

    You might try site mailing Blacksmith3D over at Rendo, RDNA, or Hivewire3D. Those are the three brokers I know are carrying the newer version of the app.

    Apparently its only available at Rendo now...not only do they keep changing names but also store locations >_< so hard to keep track of 'em!

    Hadn't noticed that one.

    You could try submitting a ticket to DAZ.

    I believe its one of those things that the vendor has the registration handled offsite from Daz if I remember right.... and the dat file is what you needed, not the serial so much... bother :(

    The forumarchive is now gone since weeks, maybe months ... and no official word from Daz ... sooooo - don't hold your breath!

    Yes, that's what I remember as well. I haven't tried installing it on this newer laptop, so don't remember where I have that file, or if I even have it at all. Will have to check my external hard drive, as that's where everything's backed up to. I do have it listed in my DAZ Software Serial Numbers file, but no mention of the .dat file there.

    OK, I just checked my backup external, and I do have the .dat file, but when I opened it with NoteTab, it was just a long list of unreadable text that makes no sense, so it must've been specifically created like a password generator does unhackable passwords.
