Two questions about backing up my library
Hi,
I have two questions about backing up my daz library:
1.) I want to make backups of my custom inventory-structure in the "categories"-section. Is it enough to back-up [...]AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\cms ...is everything stored there? :)
2.) Some addons from the store had to be installed inside DAZ seperately. For exaple the morphing-addons etc... I had to run a script or something like that inside DAZ after the download with the manager. Is it possible to back-up the entire library including those installations? Because if I ever have to re-install windows or get a new PC, I would love to just put my library into the new place without looking which addons from the growing library require a second installation.
Thanks!

1) yes, but as a ward agaisnt database corruption I would also use the Content BB Maintenance dialogue (Content Library option menu - the lined button in the top corner or right-click the tab) to Export Userdata, which will place a .dsx file in /Runtime/Support in your first content directory.
2) Plug-ins, and some scripts and shaders, have to be installed on the system - they can't just be backed up. Other than that, if you are thinking of the ExP utility for characters like Victoria 4 (whicu are not needed in DS if you use PowerLoader) then they make chnages to the content directory that will be included in your back up.
Thank you! Didn't know about the Content BB Maintenance dialogue... I will use that method!
