Manual installation of DAZ Studio products

I normally use DIM and have had no problems.  However, I have a new computer and have transferred the DS content manually to save download time because my internet speed is slow and I have a massive content library....around 3000 items; it would take over a week to download everything again.  There are some products that I had uninstalled in DIM to save space, and amongst these were some Riversoft Now-Crowd billboards which are massive files, 10GB each.  Now I want to reinstall these.  They do not appear in DIM of course.  I can download them from my DAZ account but am not sure how to install them manually.  There is a folder marked 'content' and within this the th familiar folders of props, runtime, scripts, etc etc but there are also some files called manifest and supplement.  How do I install the content in my new PC?

Manifest and supplement are files which tell DIM what to do with what is in the zip, eg "copy the files from content folder into the target content directory", "install the plugin files which are inside the plugin folder", "put the files from the studio folder into the program directory"...

You don't need them when you install manually, for content just take whatever files and folders are inside the "content" folder and put them in your content directory so that Runtime merges with your existing Runtime, data with existing data, and so on.

Just went through this with a Livewire purchase. The give you both DS and Poser versions in this case.

What I usually do is extract the product into an empy folder; I I call mine Iso Tank.  From there, look at the folder structure.

In my case, I open a 2nd Explorere tab & look for these: "D:\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library" and "D:\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\Runtime" as I absolutely HATE stuff getting put onto C: that doesn't really need to be there.

Anyway, under the My Library there are more, but the subfolders in the zip should match those.

Drag all the files from Iso Tank into the My Library.  You should get a warning and tell it to Merge the folder contents.

    Launch DS & confirm.
