Steps to put DAZ on rebuilt computer
My C:Drive suffered a catastrophic failure and I decided it waspast time to get a shiny new PC with some new drives. I wanted to ask the opinion on these steps I had planned for re-installing my DAZ libraries. Fortunately I saved copies of my UserData_1.dsx file prior to the crash thanks to the suggestions on these forums.
Old set up:
C:Drive - DAZ 4.6 installation with My Library and My DAZ 3D Library folders - Backed-up but not since Jan :(
E: Drive - old DAZ 3X libraries and files from Renderosity and such. Still works yay!
New planned set up:
C:Drive - DAZ 4.6 installation
D: Drive - New drive for DAZ stuff to hold My DAZ 3D Library and new location for DIM downloads
E: Drive – DAZ 3X libraries etc.
My plan is as follows after I install Windows and all the drivers and such.
1) Plug in new D:drive and old E:Drive into comp
2) Install DAZ 4.6 onto new C: Drive
3) Let DIM install DAZ content into new C:Drive and re-create lost parts of My DAZ 3D Library
4) Copy saved UserData_1.dsx file to new C:Drive
5) Pray to the Rendering Gods that it works and my Content Library categories aren't all errors
6) Move My DAZ 3DLibrary to new location on D:Drive - following instructions on this thread http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/29925/
7) Pray again to the Rendering Gods that my Content Library categories still work
8) Set DIM to install all future content to new D:Drive location.
If anyone can point out missteps or anything I am missing, I would greatly appreciate it!

You can just set DIM to install to D first, don't need to install to C and then move everything. The UserData files only have relative paths just like the product metadata files. When you re-import metadata the CMS finds out what the current path is and adds that information to the database. Be sure to set DS to look at the new location before re-importing your UserData.
Cool, thanks for the info. That makes things simpler. We'll see how it goes this weekend.
