Hello

I havent understood how to move a single body part, eg how to move the hand in a greeting fashion. Sometimes the hand goes indeed where i want other times and this happens most often the whole body of the actor moves. I press control select hand then also select forearm and then use the ball in the upper left part of the viewport adn the whole actor starts moving like a bowling pin. Can someone explain what im doing wrong?

If you want to pose a bone without affecting its parents make sure that none of its child bones are pinned, then you can pose using the Viewport gizmo (if tou have a tool which gives rotations handles active) or the rotation sldires in the Parameters/Posing panes.

  • Hello Richard and thanks,How do i check if the child bones are pinned?

If you select a bone and look at the pinicon at top-right of the discs you have been using, clicking it will open a menu that includes unpin All - you can get the same from the pin icon at top-right of the Universal tool's Viewport Gizmo.

  • Thanks Richard got the hang of it yes
