Please look in this thread - there is a problem with the 10.15.3 installer that corrupts file privilegies.

Thank you very much, but I still do not understand English is weak. Maybe you have the time and desire to see and solve my problem with remote access to my MacOS, I would be very grateful if you can help. Thank you for understanding.

    Hi,

the problem is that screensharing will give me a Kyrllic OS X (which I wont understand), and ssh will most probably not work as you're on a NAT:ed network.

  • Online translator, copy/paste the text on one side and the other side gives translation. {I do not speak Russian}

Briefly, you may need to tell your computer that you are the owner and can so open D/S.
Вкратце, вам может потребоваться сообщить компьютеру, что вы являетесь владельцем и можете открыть D/S.
Vkrattse, vam mozhet potrebovat'sya soobshchit' komp'yuteru, chto vy yavlyayetes' vladel'tsem i mozhete otkryt' D/S.

Anyone who have played google translate roulette knows that the translations really fails.

"google translate roulette" Write something in your language or copy a half page of text . Translate to [English or German or French], then to [Finnish or Hungarian or Korean] then to any random language, then to [Thai or Chineese] then back to your language, read and enjoy.

  • Not going there, we all know it's not perfect that's why we mention when we say we are using it. Hoping something is understandable ;-)

Thank you very much, if I understand you correctly, I need to make adjustments in the drive to which you installed the MacOS, open access to files for reading and writing?

It is not just permissions for reading and writing, but for 'ownership' ... I do not have the MacOS so maybe something from this link {click here} will help.

Not the drive - ONLY the actual Content Cluster directory in ~/Library/Application Support/DAZ 3D/cms

I got this postgre CMS error in 2019 and it has stopped me from using Daz Studio for almost 6 months. I can't buy or use any Daz content because of it. I have a macbook Pro 2018 and after I upgraded to MacOS Mojave it broke the Daz Studio and prevented me from accessing any of my content I've been using for years. Read muliple forms about this and nothing solved the problem. I gave up for almost 3 months and $1000's worth of models I can't even use. I NEED to use Daz Studio for my business but still can't find a solution.

I've looked at the dblog.txt and it says:

WARNING:  could not create listen socket for "localhost"
FATAL:  could not create any TCP/IP sockets
LOG:  could not translate host name "localhost", service "1800" to address: nodename nor servname provided, or not known
WARNING:  could not create listen socket for "localhost"
FATAL:  could not create any TCP/IP sockets

I have not seen anyone with this error yet so I can't get help fixing this.

Do you have a firewall that blocks postgres from establishing network connections, sounds most likely that is the issue.

I'm at my wit's end too. Here's what my dblog.txt has been telling me.

FATAL:  pg_hba.conf rejects connection for host "[local]", user "kennethblackwell", database "postgres", SSL off

I think I've tried just everything I've found. Installing and reinstalling, granting permissions, everything... I'm STILL getting the PostgreSQL CMS error and I'm unable to search for content in Daz because if I do it just up and crashes on me. I have no idea what to do.

That error is not connected to "not getting DS to connect. I have that too, part of the postgres errors you tend to get.

FATAL:  pg_hba.conf rejects connection for host "[local]", user "totte", database "postgres", SSL off

    Look for these messages:

LOG:  database system is ready to accept connections

  • I just blew an entire 10 hour day trying to figure this out. I've been getting the message about not having a vaild postgresql connection since I've downloaded the program. I'm no closer than when I started. This is what my dblog.txt is telling me:

LOG:  could not bind IPv4 socket: Address already in use
HINT:  Is another postmaster already running on port 17237? If not, wait a few seconds and retry.
WARNING:  could not create listen socket for "localhost"
FATAL:  could not create any TCP/IP sockets
