How to report trolling gallery comments?

Not for me - I don't post that much purely for time reasons - but I know a couple of people who have issues lately with trolls. What is the best way for them to bring this to the attention of a mod? There's no "report" button for comments on images.

Info appreciated, and I apologize if this was covered elsewhere and I missed it.

I think the best thing to do is to hit the report button on the image itself and then type the reason in the box under it

The report button is the blue exclamation mark at top right of the image

Use the report button on the image the comments are on (as Pam outlined above) and then in the text screen where you can write why you are reporting it just put that you are reporting comments on the image not the image itself, or if you prefer you can contact me directly about it. Either way :)

Ah, good to know, thank you! Looks like that now some trollish comments on one of my pictures are gone all the sudden! Woohoo! :)

I assume that Sickle was asking for me as I actually had a troll commenting really impolite stuff on one of my pictures in the galleries here. I did not want to completely close the comments for this picture as usually people are very nice here but also I did not know what to do as I could not report the comments themselves. :)

I almost took a screen shot and was going to send it to customer service. SickleYield's way is better. Was happy to see the comments off mid-morning my time. I found your DA page Mavrosh and posted a comment there :-) Whew! What a flurry!! So glad that is completely out of the norm for DAZ.

It really is - that's why I asked. I felt sure DAZ would have a way of smacking down the really unkind and unconstructive sort of comments.

Awww I went to go look at all the fuss but couldn't find it lol. I did get the chance to look through some of your gallery though, Mavrosh. Your demon-guy-thing render was so good. Like, way better than anything I've ever done by so many miles it's kind of sad.

It was the first time I have encountered something like this, really. DAZ is usually a great place for friendly people. :)

Meh, if all else fails for some reason, just pester Chohole about it. ...It feels wrong for me to say this to a veteran PA....
I can't imagine this being necessary unless it's a REALLY serious violation though-- like say-- an inline flashing seizure gif or some sort of site exploit (or instructions for performing a site exploit). In fact, I'd think bugging Chohole would be the recommended route if you see some sort of exploit going on-- you'd definitely want to bring it to her attention right away (although I can't imagine this occurring on a professional site like DAZ3D-- esp. in this day and age, but I saw it in the early years of Gamefaqs.)

Okay, rant time, sorry for straying from topic, but it's relevant to my above statement:
On a similar note, I still have difficulty getting used to talking up-close and personal to PAs. I'm so used to developers being powerful and distant.
I also hate ours (and most western) languages in situations like this-- it feels disrespectful to address you guys without an honorific-- unfortunately in English and most western languages, honorifics are gender-specific and also differ based on whether a woman being addressed is married or not.... (information which I'm sure many of you consider quite private)

Oh, and while you're both here, I feel the need to warn Sickleyield and Chohole-- just a heads up-- I sometimes get you two mixed up in my head. So there's a possibility I might address the wrong one of you at some point. So Sickleyield, if I PM you about something confusing, or if I ask you, Chohole, about the SRMS... then yeah, you can probably figure out what's going on at that point.\

Really. DAZ is usually a great place for friendly people.
I've always attributed that to the age demographic-- though I think the strictly upheld site rules are a major help as well (esp. for the spamming-- although it seems like the spammers are less likely to attack registration-only commercial forums/blogs aside from news sites)
Unlike most forums and social networking sites, the average age demographic here ranges from the 40's to 60's (which means I'm a bit out of place here, since I'm in my early 30's :\ ) On most boards and blogs, the age demographic usually ranges in the late teens to early-mid 30's, with the average person being of college age. I have noticed that a lot of PAs and freebie makers are recent retirees. So we do have a lot of people in their 60's-- an age demographic with (on average) a more mellow personality and much better self-discipline than those 3 or more decades younger (or even just 2 decades younger) Renderosity forums seem to be an exception to this rule, although I don't know if the age demographics there are different or not, nor do I know how many PAs (both from Renderosity and outside of it) post there. I just know there's a problem with software and figure wars there.

    LOL

Well, I'm flattered by the comparison, at least. ;)

I assure you none of us is uncomfortable being addressed by our screen name. I'm a 32-year-old single woman sharing a condo with my parents and cats, and for fun I go to movies with my sisters and to D&D night on Tuesdays. I play video games a lot, and I watch (well, mostly listen to) Netflix and online movie reviews while I work from my bedroom office. There are issues of manga piled around my work table and a plastic stormtrooper on my monitor base. I'm not "special people," rather I'm a huge nerd. A lot of other PAs have regular families like anybody else, or are working this as well as another job. We're not high and mighty. ;)
