File Loading Issues

I got a new computer and don't like the newer versions , 4.9 and newer. I have a 4.6 version which is fine, even though 4.8 is what I likeed best.My old computer, a Windos 7 has all of the files. I have the harddrive in a removable case. I loaded the 4.6 version and the files, but the files are missing stuff. All of the paths for Daz and content manager are allike. One thing is that If the externak hardrive is connected, I can open any of my saved scenes. If I put these file on the computer, they won't open, only if the External is connected. They will open, but they are nothing but blocks, the textures ans other elements are missing. Any thoughts would be nice! Thanks!

Almost certainly a pathing issue, though you could check that Create>New Primitive and choosing  shape other than the cube or plane does give the correct shape.
