I can't set a top coat bump map. (Solved, but had to edit scene DUF file)

edit: I found the solution to the problem in this thread: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/344321/not-all-surfaces-have-texture-options-available - I added some extra notes to my post to help anyone else. I had to edit the DUF file and add mappable = true to the material node. I explain how to do it at the end of the post. Visit the link above for solution.

For some reason I can't set a top coat bump map for Genesis 8 Female's Lips surface.  It doesn't have the drop down arrow so you can specify a map.  It only allows me to put a value in.  Anyone know how to fix this?

  • Are you working with a material preset and if so which one?

I wasn't able to replicate this condition with the standard ubermaterial, but a couple custom materials did have this issue.

You'd need to switch to the Uber base material, or another shader preset that has that option enabled.

Genesis 8 Female -> Lips -> Top Coat Bump .. I was unable to set a map.

Are you talking about !Iray Uber Base ? I tried reapplying that to Genesis 8 Female, but I was still missing the small dropdown arrow from the top coat bump map node.

Can you specifically tell me which Iray Uber Base I'm supposed to apply to Genesis 8 to restore the ability to add a top coat bump map to the top coat bump node?  I could've swore there is only one !Iray Uber Base, and not the one where it tells you not to use it.
