Now Available: Generation 5 UV Bundle for Genesis 2 Female(s)**[Commercial]

In the store today for March Madness, add the Aiko 5 and Stephanie 5 UV sets to your library and break out your favorite Generation 5 textures. I am attaching some unused promo pictures from the bundle, as well as several extra renders that show Aiko 5 or Stephanie 5 side by side with Genesis 2 Female wearing the same textures.

UV's are applied automatically when you use your texture presets, which I should remind you must be in DUF format to apply to Genesis 2 Female. This was also tested in Poser 9, so you are good to go there as well :)

The UV sets for the Males (David 5, Hiro 5, and Freak 5) should be available in a bundle very soon, hopefully tomorrow.

    Candace for S5 is one of my favourites, and Riley too - this will open up its use for Gen6 - awesome!

    do you have any plans on doing other Genesis UV's for the Genesis 2 line? Even if just the Genesis Male and Genesis Female UV?

    And the male version comes out this week, too? ARGH! There goes my plan for cutting back on spending!

    Goose, I have done the 3 main males. As for the base male and female for Genesis, I am only aware of one texture that uses the female uvs, and none for the base male. For that reason, I decided not to do them. The Young Teens use V4 uvs, which are already available, and any other characters, such as Mavka or Hitomi, are not DAZ owned, so the individual PAs would have to do those! or permit me to do it for them.

    Is there anyway or is there a planned set for UVs

    say using female UVed textures on Genesis 2 Male, and the same for male textures for G2F

    Because G2M and G22F are the same mesh, you can just copy the contents of the data > Daz3D > Genesis 2 > Female > UV Sets to data > Daz3D > Genesis 2 > Male > UV Sets, and vice versa. Make sure you're merging the contents, not overwriting. Then open the .dsf files in a plain text editor (I use Text Wrangler on Mac, I'm sure Windows has something similar) and do a find/replace for all instances of Female to Male (or vice versa depending which way you copied) and they'll show up in Studio. It might not be necessary to edit the file, but from memory it is (I did this back when G2M first released, so I can't remember if I checked it without editing the file or not). If the .dsf won't open, it means it's compressed. Change the extension to .zip and unzip it.

    Given that it's just a matter of copying a file from one folder and a minor tweak to the .dsf to the other I was actually hoping the V4 and M4 products would include this as an update, but sadly neither did.

    That makes sense. The DAZ Monstrosities and Gorilla have their own uvs, but I don't think any other products use them, either. It really wouldn't be worth the effort to do them. I've got the ladies in my cart, looking forward to the guys. The promo renders look really good.

    Great looking product, terrible timing. I'll probably pick this up in a month or two once I've recovered from all the sales across the various sites.

    They will already work that way, as long as you have a way to apply the uvs to the opposite gender, which you can do easily with UVSetterGen2, a freebie I have provided at ShareCG. Just follow the link in my signature.

    The sets do not include genital uv maps, but those I tested seemed to work on the genitals anyway. The genitals don't use special per-character mapping, so the hip texture from each character seems to work just fine on the genitals.

    I'm sorry, I meant to respond to this question the first time I saw it, but forgot by the time I answered the last question :) Hitomi was a character made by Mallenlane and it would be up to him to convert the uvs for Genesis 2. That being said, I would consider doing it for him, if he requested it. I, too, really like Hitomi. I do wonder, though, how many texture sets have been made for her using her specific UVs. Do you have any idea?

    Can't help but jump in, since I was thinking of requesting Hitomi myself, even though I know it is a more limited group of textures. Robo Geisha for Hitomi is one of my absolute favorite skins, and Asobi is up there as well. I think there are about 3 others I know of including her base skin.

    I rarely see Mallenlane in the PA circles, but occasionally I run into him. Next time I get his attention, I will ask him about it. See what I can do, but no promises. I do know that he is terribly busy right now, so it's a long shot.

    There is a phrase in product description saying:

    Please note that presets must be saved in .DUF format before they can be used on Genesis 2 Male. Presets using .PZ2 or .DSA format can be converted manually or with 3rd Party products available in the DAZ Store.

    Can anyone point me which 3rd party products are these?
