I wanted to get back into the wing of things with Daz and I decided to try and install the older version, the one that I'm use to using. I downloaded the 64 bit version of Daz 3 with no content (intending to load my database in after) and it refused to install.

When I started the program I clicked yes on the UAC warning, and I was greeting with a small blank box. When I checked the task manger and it was there, but not actually doing anything.

Why didn't it install? Should I just load the 32 bit version instead? I read somewhere that Daz 4 might have an issue with my old database scenes...I'm just worried and want everything to work.

Please I need help.

    Try this:

    1. Select .exe installer file, right click, select "Troubleshoot Compatibility"
    2. Click on "Try recommended settings"
    3. Click on "Test the program" which should launch the installer
    4. Proceed with the install.

I'll give that a try tonight.

I'm just kinda amazed that Windows 8 is having issues with an old program like this. It's usually very good at installing just about anything. o_O
