Opacity problem : some parts disappear in rendering

does anyone know why it is happening to me ??

there's a mesh part which contains two different area. one is fabric and the other is metal. I duplicated the mesh part and made cutout opacity map for both mesh parts. then applied metal shader on one and fabric shader on the other. when I took a render , it turned out to look like this

So, he's wearing two copies of the same top, but with different bits rendered (or supposed to be rendered) opaque? My guess is Daz is confused by having two sets of polygons in the exact same locations, and doesn't know which one to render. You could try changing the scaling of one of the tops, just by a fraction of a percent so the two aren't exactly the same size.

Alternatively, and rather better imo, take a completely different approach. Use the Geometry Editor to create separate new surfaces for the metal bits that you can apply metal shaders to.
