hi i am having a problem big problem with dim

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

i keep getting this every time i open it and it wont download the items either

    Like it says, the two folders cannot be the same. You have to change one of them in Advanced settings. Downloads tab -> Package Archive -or- Installation tab -> Manifest Archive.

    Have you changed either of those folders recently? Your Package Archive is where your downloads go. The Manifest Archive is where the installation records go, and can be anywhere except the Package Archive. You change it by clicking on the ellipsis (...) at the far right side of "Manifest Archive".\

    ETA: If you have installed anything with DIM  before, you should already have a folder full of .dsx files (but not the ones in the Package Archive). They have the same name, but are not the same. Use that.

    ok what about daz connect that doesnt work either its very very slow keeps saying obtaining data 

    i dont understand this at all why is this happening

    Connect is different, and installs to a different location. That's a whole other story, but I do not use Connect, so I can't really help you with that.

    As to being slow, some of my DIM downloads are failing repeatedly, or are extremely slow, so something might be wrong with some servers.
