Interface lags with most tools (SOLVED)

After the Win10 update last night, my DS 4.12.0.86 has developed strange cursor lag with every tool except for the Node Selection and Geometry Editor tools.  Cursor movement is fine, but it take 3-5 seconds for the cursor icon to change and highlight the interface element it is hovering over. If it stays in the pane where it has taken the time to update, it will highlight as normal on hover intermittenly, but moving to a different pane consistently triggers the 3-5 second delay again. Node Selection and Geometry Editor are updating and highlighting perfectly without the lag in all panes.  Anyone who might have an instight into why 2 tools are working correctly, but the others are having trouble, please reply.

The usual thing causing problems after a windows 10 update is that it messed with your graphics card drivers.  Might be worth checking which version your computer is running right now.

Thank you for the suggestion, Dim Reaper. I did update my driver after this strange behavior started, but no change. Thanks again though.

Just a question. Do you have sufficient memory in the machine?

I was finally able to sort out the problem.  After some digging around in update history, I noiced that the update that would have installed the new version of MS Edge had failed last week. Once I manually installed that, the lag disappeared. Maybe if anyone else if having interface problems, they shoud double check that their MS Edge is up to date. I wouldn't have guessed that a web browser would have any impact on DS's interface, but you learn something new every day. Thanks.
