Alidreaux ears interacting with hair

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I've been playing around with the ear morphs for Alidreaux, and regardless of what hair I'm using, the ears seem to pull it up with them to where it looks like the back of the ears are covered in hair instead of just sticking through it. Any thoughts on how to correct this?

    Are the ears a separate morph? If so, try clicking the gear icon on the slider and unchecking AutoFollow.

    I tried that with no luck, sad to say.
