How to properly use the Genesis 8 Female Anatomical Elements

Yesterday I bought a pro kit (Josephine in case that means anything), cause I needed the Anatomical Elements for a future project. Anyway, I click it and the piece fits fine on the model, but I can't get it to use the models torso texture or materials to make it blend in. I tried selecting it in Surfaces and adding everything manually, but it didn't match at all. It takes the whole texture and shrinks it, then applies so it's really small and mostly white border that was around the texture. What am I doing wrong? I didn't have this trouble with Genesis 2 models. It's kinda obvious that I can't show photos of what I'm talking about. I need to make this work.

Thanks for helping if you can.

    I hope you meant Josephene. Select the anatomical element and apply the Anatomical Elements Material Preset.

    {Josephine is another character and not in a pro bundle.}

    keep in mind that not all character sets you purchase will come with textures for the gens or anatomical elements. There are 3rd party gens sold at renderotica that are of better quality and functionality and also match any texture set in case you need more.

    A lot of the character sets for Genesis 8 that I have use "hierarchical materials" settings. For these, you need to do something a little different.

    • Load the anatomical bits into the scene with your Genesis figure.
    • Check the Scene pane to make sure the new bit is parented as well as geografted.
    • Select the Genesis figure, NOT the anatomical bit, and apply the material.
    • It's probably not working for you because you're trying to apply the material directly to the bits, and D|S is looking for the bits parented to the figure.

    This also applies materials to other bits parented to the G8 figure, such as the separate eyelashes. Takes a little getting used to, but it's handy having all the settings apply with one click.

    As Michael says, not all characters have a dedicated texture for the AE.  Up to Genesis 2 DAZ provided a UV set for the AE which used the Torso texture.  With Genesis 3 and 8 this stopped and only dedicated AE textures are now supported.

    I released a freebie to plug this gap: Torso UVs for G3F Anatomical Elements.  It will also work for Genesis 8 if you rename the "Genesis 3" folder as "Genesis 8" and install it as instructed in the ReadMe.

    Skin Builder 8 for Genesis 8 Female(s) also includes its own version of the AE Torso UV set, and because it is a Merchant Resource, some in-store characters (e.g. Rana HD for Kala 8) come with that UV Set (called SB8 Torso UV).  So once it is installed you can apply the AE UV set on any Genesis 8 model.
