I Did A Dumb Thing: Content Database Reset in DAZ 4.6

So last night, as I was trying to get some recently downloaded and installed things to show up in the Smart Content Panel, I accidentally hit the Reset Database "button", when I intended to hit the Re-Import Metadata "button", and now all of my "user created" mats--characters, presets, scenes, scene subsets--no longer show up in the SCP. (Everything else does, though, including the recently downloaded stuff that I was trying to access in the first place.) So, my question is: how do I get all of the things that were previously listed under "Unassigned" back into the Smart Control Panel? Thanks in advance for any and all help; accessing those materials from the Content Library pane is going to *seriously* slow my work-flow....

    Do you have back-ups?

  • Oh yeah, everything is still visible in Content Library and present on my hard drive, it's just no longer showing up in the Smart Content Panel, and I'd love to get it back there....

I meant back ups of the system, from which you should be able to restore the database. Also, have you used the Export User data command in the Content DB Maintenance dialogue recently?

  • I was afraid to click on anything else to see what it did. lol What does Export User Data actually do? (Also, thank you for taking the time to respond!)

Export User data exports your own categorisations and file data to a metadata file that can be imported along with the product metadata. Unfortunately if you didn't do that and don't have a back up of the old database (in the AppData folder, which should be included in most back-up systems automatically I think) then I'm not sure you can roll back
