DAZ Studio 4.6 won't install

Can anyone help me? I'm trying to install DS 4.6 on a Intel Mac. When I get to the part where I have to choose where DS and content go, it gives me a box that says, "the directory /Appilcations/DAZ is not writable by the current user" I'm the only one who uses the computer.

You may be the only user, but you don't have the permissions needed to use the directory it wants to use...

So your choices are to either create another directory that you do have write permissions for OR acquire the proper 'level' to be able to use the current directory. (I haven't used Macs since long before OSX...so I'm not 'up' on the procedures to do that...)

    Hello,

is the user you are using allowed to "administer the computer" as it says in the SystemPrefs->Users.

It sounds like you are running using a unprivileged user account.

Also a solution, have you installed DIM (DAZ Install Manager) and tried to install DAZ Studio using that?

  • Iczer1 did you ever get this resolved?  I'm having the same problem with hexagon.

be sure to install from a User that can sudo (have admin rights), if that doesn't work, create the folder yourself in Finder
