Eyes point at camera not working

If I select the (g8f) eyes and then in the Parameter Tab change "Point To" to the current camera, the eyes then look at some point well above the current camera. Anyone know how to make the eyes point AT the camera?

    Create a null and place it near or behind the camera. Have the character's eyes point at the null.

    If you parent the Null to the camera, you can shift the camera and still get the eyes pointing whre you want. Note that parenting the null to the camera will work best if the null is behind the camera. It can be above or below the camera plane a bit. If the Null is beside the camera and you move the camera, your eye point may be off more than you want.

    Yes, I thought of doing that but it's a rather "Heath Robinson" solution to the problem, plus it would have to be done for every camera in every scene. It would be better if DAZ could actually get the Point At function working properly.

    Even with that solution, which I've had to use as well, you'll want to advance one key frame from your desired frame, then go back one frame to get things to update.  Apparently a long known issue.

    @IsaacNewton "plus it would have to be done for every camera in every scene"

    You are welcome to wait for DAZ to fix an issue that has existed for years.

    You are the one in control of cameras. Personally it seems a bit odd to always want multiple cameras in a scene and to require the character to be looking at each camera. As a long time photographer I have some of the most interesting scenes do not have the character looking at the camera.

    @Doc Acme

    Some of use don't animate.

    Been a LOOONNNNGGGG time since I used Point at Camera* so I may be mis-remembering, but if memory serves, the eyes need to be Zero-ed out (X, Y, Z, rotations, and Pose) before applyiing Point at Camera.

    * I prefer Point at Null to Point at Camera because, excepting mugshots and selfies, people rarely stare directly into the camera lens. (Heck, professional portrait photographers have their subject turn their head slightly and look a something slightly off-axis of the camera lens.)

    This fixed the issue I was having. Thank you!!!
