Does the viewport use internet at all?

Lately when I've been attempting to make new scenes, I've been getting insane amounts of cursor lag in the viewport, not necessarily lag from Daz itself. No cursor lag outside of Daz though.

My internet connection is also pretty bad and has been dropping a lot lately. Are these two issues related somehow? Thank you.

  • I don't think so. I am using a PC that isn't connected to the net, so on that logic, it should never respond, - but it does.

Are you using the iRay preview mode? That can be very laggy. Other than that, you're beyond my limited help.

DS doesn't make use of the Internet unless you tell it to - it does use Internet Protocol localy to communicate with the database, but that shouldn't matter unless you are changing selection. If this is while posing one thingt o check is whether items (most likely clothes) have a Smoothign Modifier updating (look to see if there's a progress bar going on the status bar after releasing the mouse on a pose change - if so it's likely there's smoothing going on).

    Thanks. That could be it.

I noticed my C drive, where I run my Daz assets, was actually close to full. So I freed up about 14GB by uninstalling Daz products and now things are much smoother. That seems to be it.
