Problem with coordinates

The problem is that when you load a figure (G8F), it is higher than it should be. Does everyone have such a problem in Daz Studio 4.12 or just me?

    Is this the base G8F?

And if you look in the Parameter tab for the character, is translation in Y then different from 0?

  • Never have my G8 go without shoes, so never even look before the figure is shod.

Would it be a problem to drop the figure to the floor with a 'Ctrl-D'? I know it's not really the point you're asking, but as every object can be moved, I'm not sure what the consequences of the problem would be if it was a problem.

It's a fairly common occurrence. If you look at the character selection box you will see that it extends below the feet somewhat. You are better off to lower the character since raising the ground will tend to put other props/scenery in the ground  a bit. Or add a plane for the floor, or footwear etc.

crl(Win)/cmd(Mac) D will drop the figure to the ground - I think it's set up so with the legs together the feet will be on the ground, rather than being set to be grounded in the zero pose.

Yes, this is base G8f. Y=0

    Maybe you're right
