AJC Cropped Style Outfit question

in The Commons
So the PA didn't think it important to ,ake a big deal out of the few styles morphs for AJC Cropped Style Outfit For Genesis 8 Female(s). Could anyone who bought it please show what Style Open Neck, Style Open Half, Style Open Full look like? Actually it looks like there's an image of the full open, but not of the others.
Oh, and is it crazy heavy in the polygon department? This new PA's other offering, I'm So Fitness Outfit apparently has very, very many polygons.
Thanks.

@Sevrin, I did three snips of the jacket openings, but I first had to use the new BodySuit Xfashion for Genesis 8 Female because I would have violated the TOS without it on the full opening of the jacket. All openings are at 100% of the sliders.
I have no idea how to find the polygon count. If you can point me to where I need to look, I will be happy to do so. I think I used the outfit in a render, and with a 1080 or a 1080ti, I had no issues. (Don't remember which computer I was on.)

I am headed out on a dairy product hunt. So if anyone else can answer the polygon question, please help Sevrin.
Here they are at 100%.
There seem to be a problem with the zipper handle though when using the morphs partially, so it only looks right at 100%, though Open Full looks OK at some settings. See video: https://www.screencast.com/t/Ly3UvL077 The zipper has a node on the Scene Tab though so you can hide it.
The Breast Size morph will fix the poke through when Open Full is partially open.
And yes, very high in polys, both jacket and pants.
Damn, I own the other outfit and it looks great but also polygon heavy.
I am also having trouble rendering it on a canvas.
I like the new PAs work but I am hoping with time he will start to manage with a lower poly count.
That looks pretty good. Thanks.
But yowza. Look at them polys. There's gotta be something that can be done with displacement. It's not like we wanna print the thing.
I couldn't help but notice that the X-Fashion Street Dancer Outfit came out on the same day as this outfit. By comparison it has 12k-something polygons.
I used the bump map to make a displacement map, and I think it holds up pretty well for the kind of use most people will put it to.
I'm not saying that the AJC jacket doesn't look great. Just that only going to be one of many great looking things, and it's gotta fit on a consumer graphics card.
The AJC jacket look great, but it does not hold up very well when using a pose.
Whoa... what the? Something is WAY off there. Did you add dForce to it and simulate it or something?
Nope, just fitted to base G8F
That can't be right- I have trouble seeing how the product would make it past QA if it looked like that. lol Also the promo images show the character in different poses and it doesn't warp like that in the promos. Have you tried a new scene and loading a fresh version of the jacket onto a new scene?
If you start a new scene and load a fresh version and it's still warping like that, I recommend putting in a support ticket.
Same thing with a new scene. The jacket handle some poses very well and some poses very bad.
What I was able to figure out was that the back of the jacket respond bad to changes on front-back on right/left collar on G8F.
Below is an image of nothing changed but front-back on right/left collar on G8F.
I'd definitely put in a support ticket then.
...look like a smoothing issue. I get similar results sometimes with clothing if I increase the smoothing level too much.
Sorry for the necropost.
I get the same messed up mesh with the AJC Workout Style Outfit (from the same vendor). Just a character in a pose, no dforce simulation.
Why is it doing that ? And how to repair it ?
That looks like a panty and there is no panty in the AJC Workout Style Outfit. Check to see what panty that is, since the distortion looks like it is from autofit. You can always try adding a smoothing modifier to the panty to see if that smooths it out.
I think we are loking at the shoulder, the wobbly bits are trim around the chest and sides and the shoulder straps.
How does it look with the base shape? That could be the effect of morph projection, though they'd be rather untidy morphs if so.
LOL I can see it now that you point it out. (note to self, don't look at the forum while on your phone)
Triangles. Wearable, rigged outfits must be made of quads. This many traingles is what creates distortions especially with smoothing.
It isn't fixable, I'm afraid. The base topology is the main issue. You'd have to take it into 3d editor and see if any of those can be quadrified without destroying UVs which probably is more work than it's worth. I'd return it.
This is why wireframe promo renders should be store requirement.
It is indeed a shoulder. But I guess people see what they want to see, eh FSMCDesigns ? :D
I kind of fixed it. I went thru all the morphs and zeroed in on "GHD shoulder smaller" (from here https://www.daz3d.com/ghd-somebody-morphs-for-genesis-8-female-s ... my characters use too many morphs ^^!) And then I realized that the 'enable smooth' was off by default. So now I feel like an idiot. :D
Thanks again guys !
Good you fixed it.
But it is still a terrible mesh.
