Were my new purchase downloads hacked?
making my first purchase here in many years early this morning. I was downloading manual install method files, one at a time. After downloading several of my purchases, the wait for a download that said it was accessing cloudloaddaz was delayed and delayed, then I was shown a top of the page message that said: Unable to load recent personalized data - cart contents, product ownership and account info may be incorrect.
Since my credit card info was correct to my name and address info here, and the sale was processed and approved, and I received my confirmation email in a timely manner, I wondered if some unauthorized person had gotten in. It was not a large dollar sale, so my credit card co. would not have flagged it.
THEN - immediately, my laptop stopped being able to access the internet at all. Diagnostics, Win10, reset my WiFi connection, and after shutting down and rebooting - still no internet access. Does this happen a lot at DAZ? I have never had this problem over at Renderosity. I am writing on my tablet, now, where I cannot download.
Second question: I am going to ask a friend if I can complete my downloads on her computer. If I use a different computer with my own sign in, is that a problem with DAZ? Or am I exposing her computer to a potential problem also?
thank you - lds

There was a spell earlier today when the servers were very busy on the Daz side, and that does soemtimes lead to the message at the top of the page (it means what it says - it can't acess he stuff related to your account, which isn't cached, but it can still acess the generic stuff, which is cached throgh Cloudflare). It's unliklely to be related to the general internet failure you experienced later since that affects both the data cached through Clourdflare and that directly from Daz - in the current situation we would expect the increased net traffic generally to lead to occasional problems.
If you use a different computer to downlod that's fine - some people cannot download from home and use school, work, orlbrary machines. However, it probably won't help if there is another issue involving heavy traffic.
what...
The Daz site can't cause your internet to fail. That problem has nothing to do with your purchase here.
It is important to understand, as Chohole suggested, that, with so many people staying home and using the internet, the traffic is incredibly high for many ISPs. Those companies are unlikely to want to invest in increasing the available bandwidth during the current economic climate, so there is bound to be congestion. Some ISPs may even be throttling. The only solution is to plan downloads for off-peak hours.
That's nothing to do with a problem on your computer. It's something the DAZ website has been doing randomly for a long time. It's essentially a meaningless message. Just ignore it; we all do.
