Arnia's looking gorgeous. I wouldn't want to mess with her though, I bet she can do some damage with that.. whatever it is. Beautiful sheen on her skin and that highlight on her lip and on the metal. Did the lights need much tweaking to get the result you wanted?

Not much. I did some adjustments to the shadow settings and placement location to suit the pose. Forbidden Whispers provides an excellent tutorial with these lights which includes some settings. This is the 2nd portrait type render I have done with this light set.

Thank you for looking Jindi. :)

Edited to add: I believe it is the Long Flail from the Flails of Power

Excellent tribute Kismet! I especially love your approach to this, sort of opposite approach many have taken, I admire that :) Well done

    Title: Arnia & Naira

Playing with Light Up The Dark DAZ Studio Lights by Sickleyield and Marshian.

I am not sure how this will look on your monitor. This appears darker on my laptop than it does on my desktop, and I know if I look at this on my work computer it will be even darker still.

After reviewing all your work here Kismet, I can see the progress you have made since your first render. Here is my first render I did way back in 1998 (That's V2 in the globe) that I though might be good enough to let folks see and as fate would have it, I entered it into the Freebie challenge on January 2008 and won first place. This was also the first month of the challenge which was aborted at the end of the month. That is when Jamminwolfie and I started doing it every month after and...well you know the rest of the story (Paul Harvey quote). I just love all your work.

    :-)

Thanks music. The Freebie Challenge and the New User's Contests has played a large role in my progress. Everyone in both forums are great about making suggestions and the extra practice never hurts.

Thank you for sharing your first render.

    This is Naira.

I intended to use the full portrait as my entry for the PC Inspiration contest but while rendering I really liked the look of just her eyes so set that up as a render image.

    Princess of the Runway

Edit: I added a light to this render. I created the original for the PC Contest (my 2nd entry for that week). I knew the lighting wasn't quite right but I ran out of time for the contest to figure out how to fix/improve the lighting. Then when looking at it last night the answer suddenly came to me. I am including both versions.

I love Story Teller! That endless sky, the gleam of light on the metal, that expression... and to top it all off, coffee and doughnuts! It looks like it should be the illustration for a fascinating story for youngsters.

Fire Starter is funny and you've created a magical mood with the shaders. Leaves me wondering how the dragon lost his fire.... (and there's another story right there!).

Thank you Jindi. I really appreciate the comments.

As for how the dragon lost his fire...he won't say. ;-)

But if you really want to know you can always go and ask him.

    Title: Judge's Lounge

Ever wonder where the mysterious judge's of various contests hang out?

“Hello. My name is C.I.M.A.U. I will be your server today. Can I take your order?”

I am hosting the November Freebie Contest in the General Freepository. Unlike most of the renders I have posted in my thread this one was not created as a contest entry. It was just for fun.

    Title: Missing You

I created this for Llola Lane's Render a Month Challenge 2014. The theme for December is HURT.

For me, and many others, December is a time for celebration of family and friends. It is supposed to be a joyous time and for many it is. But there are those that this time of year is very difficult. It could be the first holiday after the loss of a loved one, they could be battling an illness or struggling to make ends meet.

This is dedicated to those loved ones who are no longer with us and those struggling to make it through another day.
