How do I fix where DAZ installs stuff?

When I installed DAZ studio I had it install to my D drive, and also selected a folder on my D drive for where I wanted the content to go.

But it keeps putting all my content in my my documents folder and are clogging up my C drive.

At this rate I have like 40gb worth of purchases on my account, which puts my C drive at less than 100GB free and my computer's acting up as a result.

I CANT swap the c drive out for a larger one because that voids my warrenty since the computer is only a few months old and still under it.

how the hell do I make DAZ behave so I can actually use stuff I paid for?

How are you installing? DIM or Connect? Either method can be configured to install to a folder of your choice. There are also ways to move the content you have already installed over to the D: drive.

I'm installing by double clicking the icons in my library.

and I -did- do that. I changed my dictonary to the D drive one in the DAZ menu, and when I installed it I selected the D drive as where I want stuff.

but it ignores everything I tell it and keeps putting things in my documents.

Connect it is, then. Not how I do it, I use DIM, and not familiar enough with Connect to really help. Just wanted to at least clarify how you were installing your content to get things rolling. Hopefully someone else will continue soon enough...

Edit>Preferences (Daz Studio>Preferences for a Mac), go to the Content tab, click Content Directory Manager, in the current set select the Connect Data directory and chnage it (you are selecting the folder that contaisn the Data folder). DS will ask if you want to  keep the old location as a regularcontent drectory - say yes if you are leaving files there, or no if you are moving/have moved them to the new location.
