Certain Textures Not Exporting

Hello,

I recently purchased the "Bloody nurse fantasy costume set for G8F". When viewing the model and choosing options everything looks great, but when I go to export it, this package doesn't emit any files into the textures folder. Other items within the project export textures without issue. I also went as far as creating a new scene with just one of the articles of clothing to test, but no luck their either. 

 

Has anyone seen this before and if so, how do you go about troubleshooting why certain textures aren't exported?

    Export to which format?

  • FBX 2012 specifically. It seems to be related to the purchased package though as exporting to other formats yields the same images folder.

    Don't have that product to check, but I believe that Shaders won't actually export whereas materials with textures will for the most part.   Might that be the case?

    does it use layered image editor?

    if so it creates temporary files in your DAZ temp folder so you either need to grab those or do an obj with a maps folder not original maps

    I think FBX with embeded textures work too, I do that for iClone

  • Unless using the 'Bloody' material preset, there are no textures to export, it's all procedural.

    well since DAZ studio lacks baking the best you could do is copy the surfaces one by one to planes that match the camera frame aspect and render those, but since DS also lacks a orthographic camera projection  those will have some lens distortion too

  • Thank you all. I'll have to do what Wendy suggested as I can find all the textures in the runtime structure folder.  Bummer to have to do that extra step, but necessary.
