Rendering error in C4D (missing texture from DAZ)

Hi everybody, this is my first post here and I'm just new user of Cinema 4D and Daz ! laugh

I just worked on a project in Cinema 4D with a DAZ character, and I closed everything (I saved my project as always in Cinema 4D, but in DAZ I didn't saved anything because I already exported my character for C4D).

Right now, I tried to re-open it, and my render engine shows an error with this message :

"C4DtoA | 00:00:00   803MB  WARNING| options: could not read INT parameter "render_device"
C4DtoA | 00:00:00   804MB  WARNING| options: could not read INT parameter "render_device"
C4DtoA | 00:00:00  1051MB  WARNING| options: could not read INT parameter "render_device"
C4DtoA | 00:00:00  1051MB  WARNING| options: could not read INT parameter "render_device"
C4DtoA | 00:00:00  1147MB    ERROR|   [texturesys] Could not open file "/Users/myname/Library/Application Support/DAZ 3D/Studio4/temp/d14.png"
Invalid image file "/Users/myname/Library/Application Support/DAZ 3D/Studio4/temp/d14.png": Could not open file "/Users/myname/Library/Application Support/DAZ 3D/Studio4/temp/d14.png"

So I clearly understood what happens and tried to fix this error, and I located where the textures are missing in C4D : torso, face, and lips.

I just really can't find where this d14.png can be, I searched everywhere on my Mac and wasn't able to find anything indecision Also I've got other textures (legs, mouth...) and they haven't disappeared..

It looks like that :

https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2020/14/1/1585590430-capture-d-ecran-2020-03-30-a-19-46-44.png (the face and the lips)

Any possibilities to find this texture ? sad

If not, why how to avoid this error next time ? And why this "d14.png" just missing ?

Thank you in advance ! heart

    Hello!
The d14 is a temporary image file that DS creates and it goes away once you close out DS. To save it you will need to go to your temp folder for DS (/Users/myname/Library/Application Support/DAZ 3D/Studio4/temp/), move a copy to another location that is mapped into Studio via the Content Library pane and then save out the material preset for your character using the new location. I tend to save the material presets out using the temp location then just go into the duf file and search/replace with the new location that I moved the File(s) to. You will notice that there are lots of different image types that save out in the temp folder to be on the safe side I would copy them all over to the new folder location to save you time and headaches wink

    Quick Notes:
    Locate your temp folder (/Users/myname/Library/Application Support/DAZ 3D/Studio4/temp/)
copy/paste the files there into a new folder that is linked into your content library pane (I tend to put the new folder into the Runtime/Textures/Character folder so they all stay together)
create a material preset for your new skin (File/Save as/material preset)
Open the new .duf file you just saved out and swap out the Temp pathing with the new location and save

    Hope this helps!
