    Oh crap. Don't tell me it's lost too. Probably right here on my desk, with the 4 pairs of glasses and 3 sets of keys that I can't find. Damn, another pen just disappeared.

    pens disappear and left socks get holes in them the story of my life. Well the left socks that do not have holes in them flea for their lives.

    It is hard to read and listen to Christmas music at same time but at this spot it is hard to not listen to Christmas music as the mall is pumping it out all over the place.

    ...mind you, this was 1965.

    When I got a a fiver in the annual Christmas card from Grandmum K, I felt I was rich beyond all dreams. That was five model kits, twelve meals at McDonald's (cheeseburger, fries, and a coke), fifty 12 oz. bottles of pop, 100 Hershey bars or boxes of Jujubes, or ten weeks admission to a Saturday double feature matinee (with cartoons) at the old Telenews cinema (popcorn extra).

    Crikey, back then one felt flush having a couple quarters in the pocket.

    ...yeah our transit system here in Portland went from being really really good to really really stupid when they stated playing "Light Rail Baron" and forgot how to run the buses.
