Why the hands of my character are not pinned or stuck at place...

Good afternoon, I would like to know why my character moves his hands when I create a new KEY in the animation?
For example, I create a pose in frame 15, then in 30 I create another pose with the final result.
It seems to me that I have to change the tension of the TBC or similar, because the arms should be flexed faster, but I cannot do it!
Do you know any tutorial about it? Can you give me some advice?

My english is not good, but i show you a small video

We can 'pin' the bones to help stop that. Not perfect but better than nothing.

Pin the hands when they are in the first pose where you want them {not just at the end of the animation}.

If that is not working ....

Okay then, there is the longer process of repositioning the hands back to where you want them, for each frame.

Yes, i pin the hands in the first frame, and then goto the last one and make the final pose.

Well, looks like i will need to move the hand on each frame then :(

  • Im very happy! looks like if i made some keyframes with small movements works much better!!!!

  • Wonderful :-)

You may want to change the interpolation type.

The only way to change the TCB values are the option in the lower right timeline menu? no possible to drag some kind of handles / anchor points ?

really cant figure which values use in Tension/Cont/Bias :/

I was playing with daz and still getting some problems with the animations.

To make still pose is not hard, the tools that come wth DAZ are great! But im getting into troubles to make the animations. Want to know if exist some book/tutorial/video or something that let me undestand deeply how animations works in DAZ.

For example if i make a pose at frame 0 and later another in frame 30 after a few tweaks (adding a few frames between) i get a good result. but if add another pose at frame 60 when i made the animation, all the first 30 frames are modified, i want to try to avoid it.

Another question is if exist some way to make a still of the previous frame, so i can use it as reference to fix the movement of the body that i get when make the animation. Mainly i have that problem when try to fix the hands movements. ( i take a screenshot , made a plane and use it as reference image, but want to know if exise some option inside daz so can save some time)

Exist some book/video/tutorial to purchase that help me with animations?

  • It is possible to make partial pose presets, for example just to reset the hands the way you want them. When saving the pose, uncheck the main figure and then dig through the tree to place checkmarks in the squares for the positions to be saved.

It is possible to make several projects so that the animations do not run into each other. If you save out full pose presets from the last frame in project 1, use that for the first frames in project 2, and continue on. {for example}.

I don't have lots of experience with animations, maybe some others have more ideas to share.

Hands have a few errors in the last frames

  • I think that's pretty good, certainly a big improvement.
