can a dial character become a morph?

I created a dial toon character. I want to turn her into a full morph. Maybe I'll share her, although my husband says she looks creepy so maybe not. Anyway, I did the following steps according to the only tutorial I could understand:
exported as obj
imported obj
selected morph loader pro onto zeroed genesis 1 figure
got told the vertices didn't match
So is it even possible to do this? Because there were some things I fixed with deformers, and just saving a character preset is not what I want to do. Neither do I think leaving DAZ on 24/7 so as not to lose the morphs that wouldn't spawn is a possibility....

You need to create controls for your character. This is the best explanation on how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMYB2MDh6CQ
Thanks. I truly appreciate that. And I tried it, but...
Is there something I can, you know, see what's going on maybe? Maybe a printable tutorial? Or something not so blurry and easier to hear? I'm not trying to nitpick. I truly did try it. But I couldn't do it. I'm currently reminded why I hate video tuts. I stopped being able to even halfway follow at 1:41 where he said go to head -> people. I have no such animal. I have head. And then a bunch of other stuff.
I'm the other way around, I love video tutorials, to me not better way to learn that watching someone actually going thru the steps. You can increase the quality of that video to HD if that helps. I honestly don't know of any written tutorials but I'm sure if there is one somebody else will pop up and give a link.
Well I got up to 2:39 on it and had to give up. All following this did was make a mess of the character. And I lost my deformers through the process so now a lot of my work is completely undone and lost. Having to flip back and forth, guess where things are to back up, trying to see even with the screen full screen... wow. Just... I'm pretty disappointed. I need paper so that I can look down, flip back and forth, and follow through without trying to remember what the guy said or what I think he said a minute ago. And it's not working anyway. I can't separate out the head morphs from the body morphs because of how I built her.
This tutorial solved the entire issue. Woo hoo!

Well at least until I got up to "save as dsf morph file". I have no such animal....
One thing to note, if you want to share a character and if it is dialed you probably need to share the dialed preset instead of the full body morph - at least if those dialed morphs got the usual restrictions, which applies to I'd wager all non-merchant resource morphs for e.g. V4 etc. Otherwise you may run into EULA problems.
Yes, I figured that much out. But being as I also want to use her for my own purposes and want her backed up I still gotta figure out how to save her into my own thing.
Isn't that now under Save as ... / Deprecated .... (down on the list)
No, it's not there for me either. I'm running the latest version of DAZ if that helps anyone.
I played around with Save As... Support Asset... and managed to get something saved using the Morph Asset function. But of course now I'm sitting here not remembering how I did it.
