If you bought it through the store here, you can re-download it from My Account > Product Library, all of your purchased items stay in there.

If you got it somewhere else, you will need to contact Support using the Help > Contac Us link at the top of the page here, they are the only people who can help you. They don't work weekends, but they will be in the office tomorrow.

Go to your account page, click on Product Library, and filter on 'DAZ Studio 3' - you should see, among other things, DAZ Studio 3.1.2.32 (Inactive) - click on that link and you'll get the product download links.

Inactive means they don't sell it anymore. Click on the link, you should see six download options - Man-32, Win-32, and win-64; all with or without included content.

I suggest that maybe you shouild contact Customer services via Zendesk and ask for a link to the actual DS 3 installer.

    You're not seeing this?

Ignore the 'Beta' on the image; this is the final release of Studio version 3.

I'm not clear what you're asking -- 3.1.2.32 is the final release of DS3. Are you looking for an earlier version?

Pam, what your showing in that pic is the free content for DS1, which is V3 RR and the fairy forest setup, not sure what it's doing being listed under DS3, especially as it wasn't compatible with it.

I have the Same product in my DS3A products list. And I did use it and still can in my DS3A to this very day. It has 100% poser mat files but loads and renders in DS3A just fine.

My apologies to the OP -- I completely forgot that the 32-bit version of Studio 3 was a free download that never had to be 'purchased' so it won't show up in the product library.

Well actually it did used to show up in my product library, so not quite certain why it is no longer there, hence my advice for the OP to file a help request.

You might want to check your looking at the right files, the ones Pam is showing have the exact same name and file size as the ones I have listed under DS2, the MAC is a .SIT file while the WIN is a really old EXE. There isn't a single Poser format file in them, it's all .DAZ scene files and data folder DSO,DSD & DSV files, and it's those DSV files that were the problem, DS3 couldn't read them so the UV got scrambled when you loaded any of it.

Not if you downloaded it legally from CNET ...

Ehm ... sorry - but then you could download from CNET and only "register" here.
You didn't have to put it in your cart here to get a serial.
At least for the free version ...
Which could be why you are running into problems now when trying to download from the Product Library.

I bought DS3Advanced, so I have two products in my product library that I can find with searching for "daz studio 3" ... one giving download files for DS and one giving that old content.

OK, that makes sense. I don't remember as it over 2 years ago, and I never actually used DS. :coolsmirk: Didn't even install it, so assumed the order number I have is for the "purchase"

But I do know I have this set in some format that does load properly in DS3A. This is the Tree Stump the 360' enviro with the Fey clothing and butterfly wings set, all in one bundle isn't it? The envro has a Day and a Dark set, there is ivy for the stump, a grass ring some mushrooms and few other bits. The version I have loads and renders.

I do admit my DS3A content folder has migrated from PC build to new PC over time. I've never re-installed the DS3 stuff but one time if my memory is still working. And I do have all the older exe files backed up if I need them again. Was the set ever fixed for DS3? Maybe that is what I have installed. That was way back when I had just started in 3D again.

I think I posted on this subject in the old forums. The early release of DS3 did have content bundled in the same installer, and the fairy forest did NOT work in that version. The problem was, it was a DS2 scene and the files would not load properly in DS3. Downloading the content pack from CNET fixed it. If the content was downloaded separately from the program installer, then it worked.

I just went to Product Library in my account, and all I see under DAZ Studio 3.1.2.32 (Inactive) are two content installers. I do NOT see the actual program installers. Good thing I'm a packrat. I just found the disc that had the installer I was looking for. I'm trying to install DS3 on a new rig. The installer ran, but it does not accept the DAZ Studio 3.1.2.32 serial number from my list of serial numbers. At one point, they upgraded all the DS3 free customers to DS3A. That was part of the 3.1.2.32, IIRC.

Hmm, my Product Library page for DS 31232 (Inactive) has 6 files, Win32/Win64/Mac with and without content.

I don't recall DS3A being given to DS3 free customers -- I believe 3.1.2.32 added UE and HSS to the free version, but the other Advanced features, including 64-bit, won't work with the free serial number.

OK, that makes sense about the 32/64 bit versions. That would explain the invalid serial number. That doesn't explain why I see only 2 items under DAZ Studio 3.1.2.32 (Inactive). 'Tis a puzzlement. I guess I need to uninstall the 64 bit version and install the 32 bit version, verify that works, then go ahead with the latest version. I was trying to stall on that...

I uninstalled 64 and installed 32, but I get the same thing. It does not accept the SDZFREE-*** serial number. I have a ticket with customer support. Let's see if that helps.

Edit: It works now. It appears this is the magic incantation:

Turn on Windows 7 Compatibility (leave it on)
    Turn on Administrator mode
Launch tool, paste serial number, click finish, accept content location, exit tool.
    Turn OFF Administrator mode.
    Run tool normally.

Now back to the OP question, why do both of us not see the program download in the Product Library? That should be where to get it.

  • Zombie thread alert!  My old PC died recently, and I just replaced it.  I manage to back up everything (I thought) from the old one, but I can't find DAZ Studio 3.1.  I've downloaded and installed 4.1, but it's proving to be a pain..and I don't know if I'll be able to get all my old content installed it so I can load scenes created in 3.1  Like the earlier posters, all that's showing in my download history on the DAZ3D site is the base content.  The actual Daz Studio 3.1 program seems to have disappeared.  Any ideas?  I hate the idea of starting completely over from scratch, particularly when I had several projects in progress when the old machine died.

    Thanks!

Daz Studio is now at version 4.10   https://www.daz3d.com/get_studio

There is no legal way to get hold of a copy of DS 3 if you don't have it in your download history.

    Post edited by Chohole on
  • DS 4.10 will in general still open .daz scene files, though it may have issues with some of them - and that does depend, as worul DS 3.x, on your having a copy of the Data folder it used for any auto adpated or auto converted content (Poser files, imported OBJ files).

If you BOUGHT DAZ Studio 3 Advanced, it is in your Product Library: https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files

  • I do recall the advanced version was free on the cover disc of a 3D graphics magazine once, in the UK. It wouldn't be in your library in that case.
