Figures won't cast shadows in Iray

So this has never happened. The figures won't cast ground plane shadows when rendering in Iray. If I add a plane to the scene, then shadows are cast on it, but remove the plane and there are no shadows, even with the ground plane turned "On" in the Iray Environment panel. Any ideas?

Also under Render Settings -> Environment:

-> is the ground position set to Automatic or Manual? If it's set to Automatic the ground will be placed at the lowest point of everything in your scene. Perhaps you have an item loaded that goes lower than your main figure so the ground is automatically set lower than you want. Switch to Manual and see if it helps.

-> You can also control the colour of your ground shadow, have you accidentally set it to a colour that's hard to see?

-> You can control the intensity of your ground shadow, have you accidently set it very low?

Check that Draw Ground is on too and that the figure is actually on the ground and not too far above it that the shadow isn't seen.

I accidentally set the intensity too low. So that fixed the problem. Honestly, there are so many differenty sliders to slide it's a miracle I don't mis-slide something more often.  Great tip BTW on how to get the floor anchored to the lowest element in the scene.  Thanks.
