Creating realistic characters question.
Hello all!
My name is Larry and not only am I new to Daz but I am actually new to 3d all together. My goal with 3d art creation is to create characters realistic enough for me to use in movie posters, promo imaging, etc. Because of the nature of my work it is important for me to learn how to create characters and though I have been learning a lot about shaping, I've had a heck of a time finding up to date info on the different type of masking features here in Daz Studio. I have spent quite a bit of money so far on things I thought would help but still haven't found what I was looking for.
Does anyone have any recommendations on tutorials or products I can buy that will help me with skin texture mapping?
Thank you!
Larry

Just so you are aware, you can use of the products in the store in commercial image renders, such as for posters, book covers, etc. It's a lot easier to buy a ready made character and make minor adjustments to suit to taste than create the entire character from scratch.
That's good to know! Thank you Catherine! I'm so used to stock photos that I figured it was the same deal here with models.
