content not appearing in DAZ

i recently had to do a factory reset to my PC and had all of my content installed on an external hard drive. now that i have reinstalled DAZ and i have mapped the proper paths to my external hard drive's content folder yet the content isn't showing up in the "categories" or "products" sections of the content tab. it does however appear in the section denoting the content folder from my external drive. how do i fix this? i really don't want to have to reinstall everything as i have somewhere over 2500 assets.

How did you isntall? If it was with Install manager you can just open the Content Library option menu (the lined button in the top corner, or right-click the tab) and select Content DB Maintenance, then check Reimport Metadata, click Accept, then select all in the next dialogue adn click Accept. That will restore all rpduct metadata, but not groups and not entries for your own files. Alternatively, if you have a back up from the old system you could restore the database - it lived in %appData%/daz 3d/cms/ContentCluster/ by default (do this with DS, DIM, and Carrara closed to make sure the database isn't being accessed).
