Why does it just stop?

[Why does it just stop?]Title pretty much sums up the question.

I wanted to see if I could use a basic plane, drop it with dForce to the ground, throw some objects under it to break up the heights a little, then take into Hex to modify a bit more. All to make an interesting ground plane...

So, from the image you can see my plane is still floating above ground by quite a bit... after 10 minutes DS simply says, "okay, I'm done, here you go."

There is obviously more plane available to drape, so why does it just stop? Any ideas on tis one?

You probably just need to give it more time in Simulation Settings.

  • Try checking your Stabilization time under Simulation settings.

Was about the only way i could replicate this issue.

Thanks all, and yes it was the stabilization time that finally got a result, it was at 2, i upped it to 50... an hour and a half later I was able to determine that I will never get that hours and a halfd back... Just too much work to try and "fix" in HEX anything created by draping. (for a scene setting anyway.)

    Thanks again.
