Is this the end of Genesis 1?

So many sales and so little for my beloved Genesis1! Have the new Gen2 characters taken over?

I hope vendors will still continue to make clothing and characters. I have already been searching other sites for items but without much success.

While I understand the need to outfit Gen2, I'd hate to see G1 get left by the wayside.

Genesis 1 is still a great figure, and I continue use it today. Since GenerationX2 was released though, a lot of the barriers between the figures has been eroded since we now have morphs which can be transferred from one figure to another. Slosh's excellent work in translating the UV sets across to Genesis 2 has also been of huge benefit since we can now transfer characters almost entirely.

Of course, many items will still only look their best on their native Genesis platform, so even with the cross-compatibility via autofit there is plenty of reason to want to use both in your works.

What I love most about the Genesis1 figure is its versatility and how well it transforms. The girls look good, the guys look good and all the creatures in between look good - from just one figure. It just can't be beat!

As a children's book illustrator, I couldn't ask for more, except that V5 would like some jewellery that G2F got! And maybe some new clothes.

Allow me to direct you to Share CG and there to Wilmap. She is always making clothing fo the Genesis Figure, as well as for the new Genesis 2 figures. I can say with conviction that her work is first rate, as I have a lot of it myself. There are also several other vendors that make textures for her outfits, with Eblank99 at the forefront of the lot I would also suggest you use the Fit to tool in the Parameters tab under Misc. to fit generation 4 clothing to Genesis 1. v4.2, A4, G4, M4,F4, and H4 clothing can be fitted to the Genesis 1 figure! The shoes might give you grief with this but everything else can normally be made to fit.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks Mage 13x13!

I am familiar with Wilmap's work and I agree it is first rate. I will try the Fit tool and see how that goes.

I have found gen 2 to be a big let down after the versatility of genesis, but with the shift to gen 2 I'm slowly building up a library of stuff for that.
