So I'm trying to adjust my framerate on an animate2 animation I'm working on but I cannot actually find where I can change that (pic) there is no framerate option anywhere I can see. What am I doing wrong please where can I find it?
I'm not sure (I'm not all that familiar with Animate). But just experimenting with it, Animate seems to take its framerate from the timeline. If you have a 30 fps animation and you change the timeline to 60 you can see Animate has added inbetween frames. It keeps the anim the same in terms of time, so stretches or compresses accordingly. I'm not 100% sure if you change a 60 fps to a 30. It would have to drop frames in that case. Anyway it's here:

Thx but there's just no framerate selection at all to be found on my animate2 bar (pic) I'm very confused still.
you need the regular timeline too, can have it as a tab
Sorry? explain.
Window timeline
K FINALLY I see what now I didn't have this timeline open. Woah what is this :O so now I have 2 timelines?!?!? this is confusing lol. Which one is the 'main' one?

well that one
the other one is only for AniMate
no wonder you keep posting odd questions for using animate for other stuff

no haha umm.. I knew all along I was just testing you guys! ... *sweat* lol
so the animate2 one then is basically useless? thought that's what people used to add aniblocks and stuff. Can't believe I never even knew this other timeline existed.

it is not useless but it is only for loading aniblocks and creating aniblocks
I do recall quite a few posts you made about using aniblocks for other things and even queried why you would want to use animate to do that
this explains a lot,
it never occurred to anyone I think you did not have the Timeline open after all many don't even use it as they do still images
Yea there are many confusing things in the UI. The timeline is something of a mess but is improving over recent releases (they've now merged the key view and the graph view together into one). I'd love to design a new one for them (I'm a UI dev)... :p.
Strangely enough, I've yet to use a 3D program that doesn't have a horrible UI at first. They get easier if you persevere and I suggest you don't give up nomatter how frustrated you get.
Once you've got your UI how you like it, you should go to Window -> Workspace -> Save Layout As... give it a name (I use "current"). Then when you mess it up next time you can just go to Window -> Workspace -> Select Layout and it'll be in the list.
Quick Q: (pls see pic) how do you dock the timeline please so its just static on the bottom of the screen (its ok I have Animate2 and timeline tabs by each other)
it should latch onto another window but I am not the one to ask how as I find it very hit and miss with side panels, collapsing those first might help stop it latching there
Hopefully you've made some progress by now... Just in case as far as docking, yes it's iffy at best the way it seems to work. The best advice for that is to be sure to grab the actual "Tab" in the top of the Window you want to dock, and then focus the cursor over one of the other Tabs in the Docking Area you want it to be in. Once it's in there you can grab any Tab in a Docking Area and change the order of those Tabs much more easily than the actual docking part, at least...
As far as Frame Rate, are you trying to change the intended Frame Rate for the whole eventually outputted Video? Or were you looking to change the speed of an individual Aniblock to control how fast the figure moves through it's motions? One can leave the Frame Rate at at least the default 30 fps, but change the "Speed" of an individual Aniblock so that the motion is slower, but performed over 30 Frames to get higher quality output...
If you're mainly using Aniblocks, you probably know that most options are only present when an Aniblock is currently Selected... and the "Speed" value which just says 100% unless you change it (and of course isn't labelled to save real estate in that small area I'm sure), is this way and is how to make this change.
I only played around with Aniblocks a bit and a while back so I'm no expert, but in case you hadn't or for others with similar questions, it's worth hovering over everything that appears in the Pane's "Menu Area" when an Aniblock is Selected, as well as Right Clicking on an Aniblock (both when it is Selected as well as Un-Selected) in order to see all of the features available to you...
You can also avoid drag-and-drop entirely if you want to add a pane to an existing group, just right-click in an empty area of the tab well and select the Add Pane option.

K somehow I've docked the timeline on the left there longways by accident *cries* how do I correct this please (in pic)
Thx also by the way for your help with all this from the start guys especially Wendy :)
on the little striped menu icon top right of it click and chose undock
try and dock it at the bottom on the Animate one as they pair nicely
you can then lock it

well I do it by trial and error and if it stuffs up I undock it and try again
but hopefully someone like Richard Haseltine can tell you the exact way
so I just drag it around?! into the bottom and sides?
