Save multiple Startup Settings [Solved]

Hey guys, there are multiple Settings I use most of the time as far as Render and Simulation and I'd like to have Daz open with these Settings ready to go...

Plenty of times I'll change these settings for different specific Scenes, so I want to leave the "Record" when saving a Scene options set so that Scenes load with any altered Settings, but I'd like to have the Settings I use most of the time ready to go when I open Daz and start a new Scene... The closest I've found is to save an empty Scene with just those Settings prepared and have Daz load that Scene on Startup, but multiple times I've accidentally hit Save once working on a new Scene and now that's what will be loaded, etc...

I'm hoping I'm overlooking something obvious in Preferences or with the other "Save As" options, but the ones I understand are all separated, Render Settings, Sim Settings, etc...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Try clearing or changing the Author field in Edit>Preferences, then save your start up scene, then revert the author name. Because the name of the current user doesn't match the name of the creator Save should work as Save As, prompting for a name, on that file (though I haven't tried this).

OK, just a suggestion, I didn't try it.

You said you accidently covered the 'saved empty scene', so how about you set that scene as a 'read only' file in Windows?

Wow, both clever and elegantly simple solutions!

I would have tried both, but after trying Mr. Haseltine's first, it worked exactly how he thought... like a charm! Always impressive, sir!

Thank you both for the quick and spot on replies!
