Shadow function disabled

New User here. When creating lights, I can not get shadow to function. I tried with 4 differend light types. Tried tilting figure putting a scene (beach) under figure to maybe enable reflection of light to enable shadows.  I tried right - clicking on "Shadow Button" to select "Type of Shadow" nothing comes up. I loded a new scene. Still same resuts. So Frustrating!

Please help.

Note that that group is greyed out - Iray does not support those options, so the whole thing is hidden; you are seeing it because you have Show Hidden Properties on in the option menu (the lined button at top-right in your screen shot, or right-click the tab).

Resolved! Thank you Soo Much! I wish the user's guide that comes with Daz I am reading at the moment would have said something. I'd newer figure it out on my own.
