How to set draw style at application launch?

DS seems to remember the last used draw style, but I was hoping to set it to smooth shaded as a default, no matter what I may have used when I last quit the app.

So I made an empty duf with smooth shaded draw style as my default duf to load on startup. But it still uses the draw style I had last used.
