Can view translation be turned off?

I have angered the  view translator gods. As a result my new mouse and this feature are not happy together. Must I endure it and keep my left hand poised on the undo shortcut?

    Yes, when I am working with posing, something happens frequently with the pose where view translation is triggered. The pose then goes wonky and I have to undo it. When I undo it, the action is called view translation.

    Ah, you want to turn off the ability to drag a bone (it's very easy to do that if the mouse button goes down before the modifier, so DS ses i as a saight drag). Try unchecking Edit>Figure>Inverse Kinematics>Enable IK.
